変わり続けて生きながらえる・・・制度も、言語も、人間も。

According to M.A.K. Halliday, J. Lemke (1984) has characterized human, social systems as "dynamic open systems" which have the property of being metastable: that is, they persist only through constant interaction with their environment, and hence in a constant state of change. He goes on to say, "It seems clear that a  language is a system of this kind."
